Marx is a leader in the healthcare industry and former CIO at some of the nation's largest health systems. Author of the 2019 best seller "Voices of Innovation" and co-author of "Healthcare Digital Transformation", publishing in May. He was Chief Information Officer at Cleveland Clinic, where his responsibilities included digital solutions as well as information technology. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic, Edward served as the CIO for The Advisory Board, Texas Health Resources and University Hospitals.

David Butler

Dr. David Butler,

Dr. Butler is a Physician Executive with over 20 years’ experience managing the dynamic intersection of clinical care delivery and healthcare technology from a frontline provider to the C-suite in medium and large healthcare delivery systems. As a trained Internist and Pediatrician, he has worked as a hospitalist and in the clinic setting where he gained a deep understanding of patient movement across the care continuum, as well as the role that ‘frictionless’ technology plays for patients, caregivers and administrators. Dr. Butler is considered an industry thought leader at Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation, stabilization, and optimization.

A few notable health systems that Dr. Butler has been employed with includes Sutter Health (CA), Bon Secours Mercy Health (VA), and The Geisinger Health System (PA). Dr. Butler founded Calyx Partners, LLC in 2016 and has worked with many other system across the US such as The Guthrie Clinic (PA), Texas Children’s Hospital and Health Plan (TX), and UC Irvine (CA). He is a certified industry expert at Epic Systems’ (Verona, WI) suite of Clinical and Revenue Cycle applications and has spent over 17 years working closely with them and their clients as a Physician Advisor. He was awarded Epic’s “Physician of the Year” (PACAcademy Award) for his contributions to Epic Systems Corp (Verona) and their many healthcare clients across the US and abroad.

Dr. Butler is award-winning speaker, author, entrepreneur, and servant leader committed to leveraging practical software and ‘peopleware’ solutions to meet the daunting external and internal quality, safety, and revenue cycle demands that healthcare systems are facing today.
