Ed Marx and Paddy Padmanabhan discuss their recent book "Healthcare Digital Transformation – How Consumerism, Technology and Pandemic are Accelerating the future". The authors discuss the main themes in their book, their work together at Cleveland Clinic, and the learnings from other health systems and research that included over 150 interviews over an extended period leading up to and after the pandemic. They will discuss how the pandemic has accelerated digital transformation by shifting the focus to telehealth and virtual care models. Based on more recent research conducted with members of CHIME, they will discuss how recent events have influenced digital health priorities and what health system CIO’s and digital leaders must do to prepare for the future.
