A standard RFP is when a referral comes from an individual who does not participate in the sales process.
A Business Associate SME RFP is when a referral comes from an individual who can actively participate with the sales team. These individuals can represent The HCI Group and/or come onsite to help present as part of our combined effort to win the RFP.

For standard RFPs: $1,000 for HCI RFP submissions. Additional $5,000 if The HCI Group wins the RFP and over $1M in value.
Business Associate SME RFP referrals are eligible up to 1.25% of total project revenue.
Business Associate SME RFP referrals are also eligible for an additional 0.25% for related spin off SOWs created beyond the original project SOWs scope during the first six months from the original RFP start date.
Spin off SOWs are defined as new projects signed by the original SOW decision makers within 6 months of the SOW start date.
New work generated at the same client site but within new departments, with new decision-makers, affiliate groups and/or divisions will require a new referral form submission to the HCI website for consideration and will follow the same guideline and policies as before.
All HCI consultants and non HCI employees are eligible for incentives, additionally, past employees in good standing are eligible for an incentive.
HCI's corporate "internal" staff, executives and employees covered under sales incentive plans are not eligible to receive referral incentives.
Referral eligibility, payment terms and final amounts are approved and determined at the program manager's discretion.
For credit and ownership, all referrals must be made online at The HCI Group referral web submission form.
Qualified referrals made on the same day by multiple individuals will share equally in the incentive bonus if both referrals are validated.
All referral qualification will be supervised and tracked closely by the HCI Referral Department. Full transparency and regular updates will be made to ensure payment and status are relayed in a timely manner.
All referrals will receive equal consideration without regard to race, religion, sex, marital status, or disability
Individuals due bonus payments will be required to complete the required tax forms for processing.
All referrals must be validated by phone with the HCI Referral Department and sales as a net new project previously unknown to The HCI Group and to clarify the details and scope of the referral.
For Business Associates and influencers, additional support maybe requested to assist the sales team during the closing process.
Eligible standard RFP referrals must be qualified as "Net New" to The HCI Group and requires the HCI sales team to engage the RFP with a formal submitted response.
